Why here and why now?

Welcome in, dear reader(s). Nostalgia has cemented itself as buzzword of the year. This I feel no which way on personally, but on an objectively more common basis have I seen and heard it. The past of course has an air of romance to it, but there is one thing I abhorr and that's the notion that it's 'superior'. Not because that notion is always wrong in every avenue, but because it can be harmful if it comes to frame one's thinking. In short, it can poison your present.

I've come to understand that the best time to live in is the time I am living in now. In it I am young and more importantly alive to see it. In fact, I have hope. Humanity has seen this pattern time and time again. A renaissance comes soon among the more enlightened of my peers. Independently of this idea I'll be having my own renaissance in my own corners, thank you kindly.

I made this website out of pure love for the internet and everything it can be. I have found delightful things on the information superhighway and so too have I found a respite. Normaloids think there is something 'wrong' with me. . this is because they fundamentally cannot understand. There are billions of people alive right now and yet I often feel achingly lonely. This is remedied! By the stark textual evidence on both paper and monitor that like-minded individuals truly do exist. The Internet even allows me to speak to them. What a wonderful time to be alive.

“I found myself wondering why I had once been a human being...How can others understand what I feel? They cannot--unless they have experienced the very same thing.”
Written in short story "The Moon Over The Mountain" by much loved author Atsushi Nakajima.
